Kaylee works towards a dream working in beauty industry

“I enjoy being about to express my creativity, so I discovered this course was perfect for me,” she said.

The Year 12 Mortlake College student is hoping to become a beautician one day and said she loved the opportunity to learn new skills for her future career while still attending school. 

“My VET DSS teachers are great role models for students entering the beauty industry and have always offered their help and support. 

“I’m not sure which career path I will follow but am wanting to complete a Diploma of Beauty and I’m then considering becoming a full-time beautician or a mortuary cosmetologist,” she said.

Kaylee encouraged anyone considering a VETDSS course to choose a program that suited their passions.

“Don’t be afraid to ask questions, as your teachers are the greatest source of inspiration and knowledge,” she said.
