Serena takes away top award at the 2023 Pure Awards.

“I love working with clients and helping to make them feel confident and beautiful after their treatments,” she said.

Serena studied the Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy at South West TAFE this year while also working at Aesthetic Beauty Spot in Warrnambool.

She said she loved working in the industry and found her colleagues really inspiring.

“I love all treatments because they all give an instant result. I love make-up, spray tanning, and tinting,” she said.

Serena said she found the teachers at South West TAFE to be really hands-on and supportive if she ever needed help.

“They made me feel really good about myself as well,” she said.

Serena was recognised by being named the Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy Student of the Year and was thrilled to take out the overall Pure Student of the Year award at the South West TAFE Pure Awards recently.

She said she was looking forward to continuing to work at Aesthetic Beauty Spot and growing and advancing her skills.

Serena has also already enrolled in a Diploma of Beauty Therapy next year at South West TAFE.
