Victoria’s best teacher can be found right here at South West TAFE.

Wendy was awarded for her dedication and passion for her community services students, inspiring them to have a positive impact on other people’s lives.

Wendy has been a teacher at South West TAFE for the past eight years. Many of her students have experienced life challenges and she has developed a flexible approach to learning to meet their needs including the introduction of online and night classes.

She believes the personal development of each student is just as important as developing their skills and knowledge.

Wendy also took out the People’s Choice Award – proving she was a very popular and deserving winner.

The Victorian Training Awards have been celebrating the outstanding achievements of vocational education students, teachers, training providers and the businesses who train them for the past 64 years.
