Course Overview
Introduction

Expand your creative skills in our fully equipped art studio.

In this course, our experienced trainer will help develop your creative skills in drawing, printmaking, painting and sculpture in a supportive environment, using a range of materials and techniques.

What will I Learn?

  • basic drawing techniques including realistic use of tone to model form, exploration of the energy of line, mark-making, and balance and composition

  • basic printing techniques, including mono-printing

  • basic painting techniques including expressive use of paint, exploration of texture, exploration of the acrylic medium, and use of colour

  • basic sculpture techniques including creating three-dimensional forms.

Course Outcomes and Career Opportunities

On successful completion, you will be equipped with skills in drawing, paint, printmaking and sculpture.

Course Requirements
For this course, you will need to:

  • provide photo ID to the trainer on the first day of the course
  • bring a pen and paper
  • bring paint brushes
  • bring a plastic plate or tray to use as a paint palette
  • wear enclosed shoes and an art smock, or clothes you're comfortable getting paint on.

How do I pay for the short course?

There are three simple steps when applying for a course with us. 

  1. Book – you can book and pay for your place online via the book now button.  A tax invoice/receipt is automatically emailed to you upon payment.
  2. Confirmation – you will receive an email confirming the date, time and location of the course. 
  3. Attend and complete the short course - 100% attendance of the short course is required. Upon successful completion and within 30 days of the short course, you will be sent a Certificate of Attendance.
