This is an exciting career path offering the opportunities to supervise or provide leadership to other education support staff or volunteers. Build on your existing education support skills and knowledge to broaden your career opportunities in a range of education settings.
This is an ideal opportunity for those who have completed the Certificate III in School Based Education Support or those who are currently working in the field. This program can be offered as a Traineeship.
During this course, you will develop and build on your current knowledge of the education support industry.
You will develop your skills and knowledge in providing education support to take on increased responsibilities in leadership and or supervisory roles.

Upon the completion of this qualification, you may wish to continue on to further study in the education sector such as an Associate degree or Bachelor of Education. Opportunities are also available to work within the TAFE sector, NDIS programs and educational businesses.
You will be required to complete a minimum of 100 hours of placement during this course.

This course involves accredited units. You will be required to complete assessment tasks to demonstrate your underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes to meet the course outcomes. A combination of written, oral and practical assessment strategies will be used in either a classroom, online or workplace environment.
Where units require demonstration of skills in a workplace environment, you will have the opportunity to do this either in your own workplace (where appropriate), through a practical placement, or by using one of the Institute's simulated workshops/classrooms. Detailed information about the types, conduct and dates of assessments will be provided in advance. You will also be provided with information about the opportunity for reassessment and appeal.
