The online application form will take 5 minutes. This is where we gather your contact details and important information so we can provide you with a fee quote. It also helps us to ensure this is the most suitable course for you, we can select the most suitable units for you to study and provide support services if required.
We will assess whether you need to undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment. This is only required if you haven't completed one recently with SWTAFE or do not hold one of the required qualifications. If we need you to undertake this assessment, we will email it to you to complete online.
If you are not required to undertake this assessment, you may be contacted via email to provide evidence of previous qualifications.
A member of our team of your course area will be in contact with you via phone to discuss your application and the course in more detail.
If you have indicated you would like to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer, we will discuss this with you at this point.
If your application is successful, we will then send you an email to offer you a place in the course. You will need to accept or decline your place via this email within 7 days.
By clicking 'accept the offer' in the email, you will be taken through the following steps to enrol:
Our team will then process your enrolment. This may take 7 to 14 days.
By clicking 'decline the offer' in the email, you can also defer your offer to enrol at a later date, change to a different course or you can let us know you have changed your mind about studying.
Once we have finalised your enrolment, an invoice for your course fees will be issued. We have a variety of payment options available including upfront payments, payment plans and invoicing to a third party, click here to find out more.
Once you have arranged fee payment, you can begin training at SWTAFE.
After you have completed all the above steps, but before you begin your study with South West TAFE we need to get a photo of you for your student ID card. Visit any of our campuses to have your photo taken for your Student ID card.
Your teacher or course specialist will also follow up with start dates and any additional information you need before you kick-start your study.
